Machine Tool Builder or Just an Assembler

As a young man who is relatively new in the manufacturing industry, I was pretty shocked to learn in a short time of how many manufacturers there are for machine tools.

I was just as shocked to learn some differences between assemblers and true builders… which made me think, do you know who really builds your machine?

Hi, I’m Matthew Gintert with Premier Machine Tool Midwest and on today’s episode of the premier post minute I’m going to share some of the critical things I have learned in what makes a quality machine tool builder.

The first thing I noticed was how many builders are really only assemblers and not true machine tool builders. Most are not pouring their own bases. Most are buying their spindles and tool changers from multiple suppliers? But how do you know? (Point your finger at the viewer)

The second thing I noticed was component inconsistency, have you ever had two of the same machines that you thought were identical only to learn they don’t have the same components in them. You learn they used one brand of ball screws or spindle bearings on Monday because they were cheaper and easier to source and then use a different brand on Tuesday? Which day was your machine build on?

Working with Premier Machine Tool has been absolutely amazing because we only do business with manufacturers that actually build the entire machine. Which results in the highest quality machine tools and focuses on customer satisfaction as their number one goal.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see inside of the factory and see if they are truly a builder or just an assembler? Most today are just assemblers who are looking only at profit and not building a quality machine tool.

How about learning how to join the Premier virtual tours that we will be hosting over the next few months to show you some true machine tool builders. Call or text the words “true builder” to (262) 254-5150 and we will connect with you with more details so you can join us in these virtual tours.
